MOBILE, Ala. – The LCSC women's ran into a giant on Wednesday as the No. 1 team in the nation eliminated the Warriors in the NAIA National Tournament.
The Grizzlies blanked the Warriors in almost every completed match.
Laura Rosselli and Jenna Roux lost in No. 3 Doubles 8-1 but the rest of the LC players fell short.
Hannah Uhlenkott and
Stephanie Buckingham lost 8-0 in No. 2 Doubles and the pairing of
Lauren Lang and
Begona Andres also fell 8-0 in No. 1 Doubles.
Trailing 3-0 heading into singles play, the Warriors were only able to play two matches before Georgia Gwinnett clinched with the fifth point in the match.
With the loss, the Warriors end their season with an 8-14 record.
