SPOKANE, Wash. – The No. 23 Lewis-Clark State women's tennis team earned a road victory over NCAA DIII Whitworth on Saturday. They defeated the Pirates 7-2.
The Warriors found success out of the gate in doubles play.
Laura Rosselli and
Laura Diaz teamed up for an 8-7 win in the second slot, while
Kyla Collier and
Alexandra Barry earned an 8-2 win in No. 3 doubles.
Rosselli earned a quick win at 6-2, 6-0 in No. 2 singles. Diaz (No. 3 singles),
Sophie Uhlenkott (No. 4 singles) and Barry (No. 5 singles) all earned straight-set victories to give the Warriors four wins in singles.
