LEWISTON, Idaho – The Warrior Women's Tennis squad had its hands full today in its season opener as it faced a tough NCAA DI University of Montana Grizzlies team. The Warriors played tough, but fell at a score of 0-7.
 
"It's never easy to open our season with a strong team like Montana," Head Coach Kai Fong said. "Their hard hitting and accuracy provided us with some challenges. This paves the path for our next two matches down in Boise next weekend against Boise State and Idaho State."
 
"I liked the overall mindset for today," Fong added. "Everyone is understanding their roles." 
 
Alexis Maison and Sophie Uhlenkott faced off against the Grizzlies' No. 3 doubles team of Lauren Dunlap and Alex Walker in doubles play. The Warrior duo took three games in the set, but ultimately fell 6-2.
 
Maison went on to play Dunlap again, this time in singles action in the third slot. Maison battled valiantly to take her opponent to a set three, but ultimately fell in the deciding set 4-6.
