LEWISTON, Idaho - The LC State Women's Tennis team hosted the Whitworth Pirates on Saturday in back-to-back matches and swept the NCAA DIII program for their first two victories of the season. LC State dominated doubles in match one, taking all three, before earning wins in all six singles matches in the night cap.

"Playing back-to-back matches is such a good developmental opportunity for the team," Head Coach Kai Fong said. "The players got back on the court with energy and focus.
Five of the six doubles combinations were new. It is nice to see the players willing to adapt to different partnerships."

With the two victories, the Warriors now sit at 2-3 on the season.
