LEWISTON, Idaho – The Warrior women battled, but fell to NCAA Division III Whitman in the Tennis Center on Sunday night. LC picked up a win in doubles and took three singles matches, but the Warriors were edged 4-3.
 
In doubles action, Catherine Khardina and Andrea Cervantes Bustamante teamed up to take the No. 2 doubles matchup 6-3.
 
Lina Boylan battled back to take the top singles match. She dropped the first set, but rallied to win long second and third sets (5-7, 7-6, 10-5). Maria Eduardo Santos da Silva won in fifth singles in straight sets (7-5, 6-0). No. 6 singles player Bonolo Molefe battled through three sets to earn her victory (7-6, 1-6, 10-6).
 
The Warrior women head to Louisiana for matches with some of the top teams in the NAIA Feb. 24-26. The next home match is not scheduled to take place until Idaho State comes to Lewiston in April.
