MARION, Ind. – LC State Women's Tennis faced off with two tough NAIA opponents in St. Thomas (Fla.) and No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan at the IWU Invitational on Friday. Though the Warriors fell in both, LC saw impressive play from freshman Lina Boylan who finished the weekend 2-0 in singles play and 1-1 in doubles.
 
The Warriors dropped the doubles point in both matches, but did pick up a win at No. 2 doubles against IWU. Boylan teamed up with Andrea Cervantes Bustamante for a 6-2 victory.
 
Boylan picked up individual wins in both matches, the only singles victories for the Warrior women on the day. She made quick work of her opponent from St. Thomas with a 6-2, 6-0 final, then outlasted the top singles player from IWU who retired from the match.
