LEWISTON, Idaho – The Warriors closed out the 2022 home schedule in the Tennis Center on Saturday with a pair of matches against Bellevue CC. Every LC State Tennis player that competed picked up a victory, including seniors
Kyla Collier,
William Bruchard and
Larry Magalasin. The trio were honored prior to the start of their matches.
The matches do not count toward the teams' overall records, but count in the individual records. The LC men finish the season with a 10-10 record, while the women sit at 7-7 heading into the final match of at the season at NCAA Division III Whitman on April 29.
THE WOMEN
LC State Women's Tennis sent senior Collier out with a pair of wins on Saturday against Bellevue CC. The Warriors picked up two doubles wins and fours singles victories.
Collier teamed up with
Catherine Khardina in doubles for a 6-1 win, then battled to take her singles match 6-1, 6-7(4), 10-3.

- Catherina Khardina/Kyla Collier (LCSC) def. Adeline Bakken/Emily Habib (BCC) 6-1
- Bonolo Molefe/Elisiva Latu (LCSC) def. Jadyn Mueller/Alexi Huffman (BCC) 6-2
Singles:
- Beatriz Lambru (LCSC) def. Bakken (BCC) 6-0, 6-1
- Molefe (LCSC) def. Huffman (BCC) 6-0, 6-4
- Collier (LCSC) def. Mueller (BCC) 6-1, 6-7(4), 10-3
- Jamyang Phuntsho (LCSC) def. Habib (BCC) 6-4, 6-2
THE MEN
Warrior seniors Bruchard and Magalasin teamed up to earn a 6-1 victory in doubles play, and Magalasin closed out his career with a 7-5, 7-6(5) win in the top singles spot.
LC State swept the day, winning both doubles matches 6-1, then taking all five singles matchups. Four of the five matches were determined in straight sets.
