Box Score SPOKANE, Wash. – For the second time this season the Lewis-Clark State Women's Tennis team swept NCAA Division III Whitworth with a 9-0 win on Sunday.
The win gives the Warriors a three-match winning streak and improves their record to 10-7.
Junior Heidi Moyo teamed up with freshman Naiara Montero to earn an 8-4 win in No. 1 doubles against Gracie Smyley and Natalie Budge. Smyley and Budge was the only duo to defeat LC State in the first meeting on February 4.
Beatriz Lambru and Bonolo Molefe earned a victory in No. 2 doubles and Ines Steeman teamed with Alexis Maison for a win in No. 3 doubles for the clean sweep.
Moyo topped Smyley in No. 1 singles in the closest match of the day 7-5, 6-4. Steeman was pushed to a tiebreaker in No. 3 singles against Elizabeth Hopkins before taking the win 7-6(5), 6-3.
Lambru in No. 2 singles and Molefe in No. 6 singles each earned victories without giving up a game.
