NEW ORLEANS – LC State Women's Track and Field earned seven national-qualifying standards through the first two meets of the indoor season to total 76.87 points in the first USTFCCCA Track and Field Rating Index of the year. The total has the Warriors ranked No. 12 in the NAIA for the highest indoor mark in program history.
Madigan Kelly leads the Warrior women with the highest ranking in the group. The junior from Lewiston currently sits third in the NAIA in the 60m hurdles with a school-record time of 8.49.
Geraldin Correa is fourth in the nation in the 800m with her time of 2:16.68.
Sydnie Zywina and
Jennah Carpenter have each hit two standards for indoor nationals. Zywina is ranked sixth in the triple jump with her school-record leap of 11.64m and 17
th in the long jump at 5.52m, also a program best. Carpenter hit the A standard in the high jump (1.68m) during her pentathlon last weekend. She is ranked seventh in the high jump and in the pentathlon with her 3,296-point total.
Lewiston product
Emily Collins ran a provisional standard in the 400m in Moscow over the weekend. She sits 20
th in the NAIA at 58.13.
