RESULTS
SPOKANE, Wash. – Geraldin Correa led a solid day for No. 12 LC State Women's Track and Field with the national standards at the Inland Northwest Invitational. The senior punched her ticket in the 800m while also helping secure spots for the 4x800m relay and 4x400m relay.
 
In all, LC State Track and Field had seven national marks accomplished on the day.  
 
THE WOMEN
The women's 4x800m relay team got the day off to a strong start with a national-qualifying time of 9:26.53. The time ran by Grace Tiegs, Aubree Williams, Geraldin Correa and Brooklyn Shell is an A standard that sits in the top five of the NAIA this season.
 
Correa and Williams ran solo 800m races, as did Abigail Peightal and Kristen Thomas. Correa led the group with a B standard time of 2:18.38 to place fourth. Williams was 12^th (2:22.81) in her first attempt at the distance individually, and Peightal (2:30.00) and Thomas (2:30.83) both ran a PR.
 
Shell and Tiegs competed in the mile, along with Peightal. Shell led the group with a time of 5:18.90 to place sixth, Peightal ran a personal-best time of 5:25.95 to finish 12^th and Tiegs was 15^th (5:32.84).
 
Success in the relays continued with the 4x400m team of Emily Collins, Sara Hathaway, Anika Grogan and Correa. The group ran a time of 3:59.05 for a B standard to win the event.
 
Reigning NAIA National Champion Jennah Carpenter matched her season-best in the high jump with a mark of 1.68m to win the event and repeat her A standard.
 
Madigan Kelly continued to hit the automatic standard in the 60m hurdles, this time with a time of 8.64 in the prelims and 8.70 in the final. She finished second in the field. Hathaway ran a time of 9.21 in the prelim and Carpenter finished in 9.38.
 
Sophomore Collins clocked a season-best time of 57.89 for a provisional standard in the 400m. She was third overall in the event.
 
Freshman Karissa Lindner made her track and field debut on Saturday with action in the 60m dash, 200m and the long jump. She ran the third-fastest time in Warrior history with an 8.00 prelim run to place third. Lindner finished 11^th in the final (8.06) of the 60m dash, seventh in the long jump (5.00m) and 17^th in the 200m (27.07). Macey Gunderson was also in the sprint events with a time of 8.53 in the 60m and 27.96 in the 200m.
 
In throws, Grace Osborne threw a personal-best distance of 13.42m in the weight throw to place 12^th and was 26^th in the shot put (9.66m). Haylee Appleford was 11^th in the shot put (11.28m) and 28^th in the weight throw (7.84m).
 
Chloe Overberg led a group of Warriors in the 3,000m with a time of 10:40.69 to place sixth. HaileyAnn Johnson finished 25^th (12:50.46) and Madison Howe was 26^th (13:00.14).
 
Emberlynn Mack was sixth in the pole vault (2.76m).
 
 
THE MEN
Carter Gordon earned his second national mark of the season with a B standard in the mile. He placed second with a time of 4:15.99 for the fourth-best time in LC history.
 
Also in mid-distance events, Cooper Carlson, Conner May and Tristin O'Brien all ran a PR in the 800m. Carlson was eighth (1:56.15), May placed ninth (1:57.08) and O'Brien placed 18^th (2:04.60).
 
Preston Cooper and Jedidiah Barnaby each ran the 60m dash twice. The high school teammates finished in the top 10 in the prelims, with Cooper running a time of 7.03, and Barnaby went on to place sixth in the final with a time of 6.95.
 
The duo each ran PRs in the 200m with Barnaby clocking in at 21.99, the second-best time in school history and Cooper at 22.29 for the third-time LC time. The two placed third and sixth, respectively, with Jordan Castillo in 16^th (22.81).
 
Alexander Fry led LC State in the 3,000m run with a personal-best time of 8:59.11. He placed 10^th, Brycen Brown was 13^th (9:05.88) and Jacob Adams was 21^st (9:58.28).
 
Jumper Trenton Johnson won the triple jump with a mark of 13.71m. He placed 10^th in the long jump (6.19m).
 
Ian Gardom saw action in both track and field events. He placed 10^th in the 60m hurdles (9.14) and 11^th in the high jump (1.76m). Luke Mastroberardino was 12^th in the 60m hurdles (9.25).
 
Throwers Sam Weller and Tanner Beltz-Childs competed in the weight throw and shot put. Weller was 13^th in the weight throw (12.44m) and Beltz-Childs placed 19^th in the weight throw (11.23m).
 
James Bogdanowicz and Zayne Maughan each cleared a height of 3.91m in the pole vault.
 
The 4x400m relay team of Luke Mastroberardino, Carlson, May and Gordon closed out the day with a time of 3:31.46.
