RESULTS
LA GRANDE, Ore. – Warrior Track and Field wrapped up the regular season for indoor on Saturday at the EOU Last Chance Invitational. LC State hit seven national marks, including five automatic standards.

"Another great day to be a Warrior," Head Coach Mike Collins said. "Lots of wins today which is great as confidence boosters as we head towards nationals. This may be the largest contingent we've ever had for either an indoor or outdoor championship, and we have a lot of people in good positions to score points so we are already very excited about the next few weeks."

LC State won every running event it competed in. Out of the 14 events the Warriors were in, they won 10. Due to the size of the EOU track, longer running event times were converted to determine national-qualifying times.

THE WOMEN
Jennah Carpenter and Sydnie Zywina each hit two national standards on the day. Carpenter matched her career-best in the indoor high jump at 1.73m to match her mark at nationals last year, and hit the B standard in the long jump with the second-best mark by a Warrior at 5.61m. Her high jump ranks third in the NAIA and her long jump ranks 13th. She also placed 10th in the shot put with a mark of 9.39m.

Zywina bettered her school records in both the triple jump (12.03m) and long jump (5.65m) to win both events at the meet. Both are automatic standards and rank in the top 10 of the NAIA.

Fellow local product Emily Collins hit an A standard in the 600m. The initial time of 1:37.43 ranks second by a Warrior and the converted time on the shorter track (1:35.71) ranks 14th in the NAIA.

Grace Osborne finished fifth in both throwing events with a PR of 15.04m in the weight throw and distance of 10.55m in the shot put. The weight throw ranks third all-time by a Warrior.

Brooklyn Shell ran a time of 5:14.32 in the mile to win.

THE MEN
The men's 4x400m relay team of Ike Hopper, Trenton Johnson, Preston Cooper and London Kirk hit the A standard for nationals with the second-best time in school history (3:22.59). They won the race with a converted time of 3:17.45.

800m runner Griffen Parsells ran a B standard in the event after conversion. His initial time of 1:57.72 won the race with Conner May in second (1:58.26).

Trenton Johnson hit the third-best mark by a Warrior in the long jump in program history. He won the event with a leap of 6.65m. Hopper also claimed third in the record book with a time of 8.52 in the 60m hurdles.

Sam Weller finished third in the shot put with a mark of 14.14m. Cooper Carlson ran a time of 2:34.65 in the 1,000m to win the event and Kobe Wessels was fifth (2:36.34).
