RESULTS
SPOKANE, Wash. – Warrior Women's Tennis picked up a win over NCAA Division III Whitworth on Sunday. Gym Heim earned the clinching point in the 5-2 victory for LC State.
 
The Warriors played from behind after doubles play. Beatriz Lambru and Ana Govea earned a win at No. 2 doubles, but Whitworth took the doubles point with wins in the first and third spots.
 
LC State won five of the six singles matches to battle its way to a victory.
 
Naiara Montero blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0 in No. 4 singles and April Buckingham dropped just two games in her 6-1, 6-1 No. 6 singles win.
 
Heidi Moyo and Heim earned matching 6-1, 6-3 wins in their matches. Moyo took the No. 3 contes while Heim earned the four points for LC State with her No. 5 singles victory.
 
Rayana Shah won the No. 2 match by a final of 7-5, 6-1.
 
UP NEXT
LC State is in New Orleans this week for the Xavier/Dillard Invitational in New Orleans. The Warriors will play four matches against NAIA competition before heading to Mobile (Ala.) for the final contest of the trip.
