ARLINGTON, Texas – LC State Women's Tennis opened its stay at the Texas Wesleyan Invitational with a contest against No. 12 LSU Alexandria (La.) on Thursday. The Warriors fell 7-0.
 
LC State was swept in doubles play. Beatriz Lambru and Heidi Moyo played to a 6-3 final in the top match while April Buckingham and Paige Noble-Lucas fell by the same score in No. 2 doubles.
 
Noble-Lucas had the most successful match in singles play. The senior won nine games at No. 4 singles before falling 7-6 (13-11), 6-3. Sophomore Caris Liebenberg played a close second set in her 6-1, 6-4 loss in the sixth spot.
 
UP NEXT
The Warrior women continue the tournament on Friday with a matchup against LSU Shreveport (La.) at 10 a.m. PT.
