ARLINGTON, Texas – The women of LC State Tennis took on LSU Shreveport (La.) on Friday in their second match of the Texas Wesleyan Invitational and fell 4-0. The Warriors did pick up a doubles win in the contest.
 
The senior duo of Beatriz Lambru and April Buckingham took the top doubles contest by a score of 6-2. The Pilots took the second and third matches to earn the doubles point.
 
The Warriors lost first, second and fourth doubles in straight sets. LC State was finding success in the other three before the match was clinched.
 
Heidi Moyo was on her way to a second-set win in her No. 3 match. She fell 6-4 in the first but was up 5-1 in the second. Carisa Liebenberg had just won her second set in the fifth spot to tie her match after scores of 4-6, 6-3.
 
Naiara Montero won her first 7-6 (2-0) in No. 6 singles.
 
UP NEXT
The Warrior women wrap up the tournament on Saturday against Kansas Wesleyan at 6 a.m. PT and Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) at 10 a.m. PT.
