Warrior Women Continue to Climb in NAIA Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Cascade Conference Team of the Week moved up one spot to No. 12 in the NAIA after a dominant weekend on the court. LC State Women's Basketball is 4-0 since the last poll and sits at a record of 16-4 on the season and 10-2 in conference action.
 
The Warriors are coming off big wins over (RV) College of Idaho and No. 15 Eastern Oregon and are in sole possession of first place in the Cascade Conference with a big road weekend at (RV) Oregon Tech and (RV) Southern Oregon on deck.
 
LC State leads the CCC in field goal percentage (46.2) and is second in scoring (77.7), 3-point field goal percentage (34.4) and steals per game (11.6). Lindsey Wilson leads the conference and is 12th in the NAIA in field goal percentage (59.8). Herring is atop the Cascade in rebounding (8.9) and blocks (44) and is fourth in field goal percentage (52.4) and assists (69). Byrd ranks third in 3-point percentage (41.2), and Payton Hymas is second in steals (55) and third in assists (86).
 
Around the Cascade Conference, LC State remained the highest ranked team followed by EOU's two-spot jump to No. 15. Corban (Ore.) fell two spots to No. 22, while Southern Oregon, Oregon Tech and College of Idaho are all receiving votes.
