CORVALLIS, Ore. – No. 17 LC State Women's Basketball is the lone Cascade Conference team standing after the first and second rounds of the NAIA Basketball National Championships and was named the Cascade Conference Under Armour Team of the Week on Sunday. The Warrior women will represent all CCC basketball teams, male or female, at the final site after a victory over No. 15 Montana Tech in the NAIA Second Round on Saturday.
LC State defeated Hope International (Calif.) 74-65 in the NAIA First Round before a 79-67 victory over Montana Tech to punch its ticket to Sioux City, Iowa.

Sitara Byrd had a standout weekend where she averaged 16 rebounds per game, and fellow fourth-year player
Payton Hymas averaged 22.5 points per game.
The Warriors earned their first NAIA First and Second Round title since 2023 and will head to Sioux City this week for the NAIA Round of 16.
