Greg Jose, who prepped at nearby Lapwai High School, is the first men's basketball player to be inducted. Jose played at LCSC during 1988-91 and wound up as the program's all-time scoring leader with 1,447 points. He is third overall in field goal made at 537, and second in free throws made and attempted (298-of-400). Jose is also fifth in career assists with 317.

During the 1990-91 season, Jose scored 613 points, which ties him for seventh on the all-time single-season list. He averaged 19.8 points per game that season, which is tied for the ninth highest single-season average.
